The Series 228 flow sensors from Badger Meter® feature a six-bladed impeller design with a proprietary non-magnetic sensing mechanism. The forward swept impeller shape provides higher, more consistent torque than four-bladed impeller designs and is less prone to be fouled by water-borne debris. The forward curved shape coupled with the absence of magnetic drag provides improved operation and repeatability, even at lower flow rates. This is especially true where the impeller is exposed to metallic or rust particles found in steel or iron pipes. As the liquid flow turns the impeller, a low impedance square wave signal is transmitted with a frequency proportional to the flow rate. The signal can travel up to 2000 feet between the flow sensor and the display unit without the need for amplification. Inline pipe size from ½” to 2 ½”

The Series 250 flow sensor features a six-bladed impeller design with a proprietary non-magnetic sensing mechanism, mounted in a cast bronze housing, with female NPT threads.

The SDI Series flow sensor offers unparalleled performance for liquid flow measurement in closed pipe systems in an easy-to-install economical package. Impeller sensors offer a quick response to changes in flow rate and are well suited to flow control and batch type applications in addition to flow monitoring. The new four-bladed impeller design is rugged, non-fouling and does not require custom calibration.

The battery powered versions are a complete flow measuring system providing a programmable display of rate, total or both powered by a “C” sized lithium battery. Insert into pipe with Line Sizes from 1 ½” to 36”. The SDI is offered with Hot Tap option and Bi-Directional Flow option. 220 Series sensors are specifically designed for installation in underground vaults that might be subjected to flooding. As the liquid flow turns the impeller, a low impedance 8V DC square wave signal is transmitted with a frequency proportional to the flow rate. This signal can travel up to 2,000 feet between the sensor and the display unit without the need for amplification. Approved for line Sizes 3” and above. Available in Brass, Stainless Steel or PVC build of construction, with a variety of wetted parts to best match each flow application from water to caustic liquid flow applications. Electronic wiring options for either Standard ambient environment or potted option for irrigitation(submersion/wet rating) wire protection.

The Series 380 BTU meter is an all-in-one energy usage package for monitoring hydronic heating or cooling systems. This meter accurately measures flow and temperature differential to compute energy and can interface with many existing control systems.

The rugged design incorporates an impeller flow sensor and two temperature probes. One temperature probe is conveniently mounted directly in the flow sensor tee. The second is placed on either the supply or the return line, depending on the application. These minimal connections help simplify installation and save time. Line Sizes ¾” to 2”.

The 4000 series flow sensor is an in-line, flow-through design using a tangential six bladed impeller. Its compact molded design allows the 4000 series to replace old style magnetic sensors with little or no piping changes.

The proprietary non-magnetic detection circuit is available with two outputs: a low impedance 3-wire 5 volt DC square wave signal (that can be pulled up to 20 volts) capable of traveling up to 2000 feet without amplification, or a 2-wire loop powered 4-20 mA current analog signal. These two signal formats are compatible with most data acquisition or PLC equipment.

The Model 3000 and dual channel Series 3100 flow monitors are compact, economical and full-featured products. The 3050 Series BTU Monitor provides an accurate measurement of total thermal energy, along with temperature and liquid flow, in closed pipe systems. The 3050 Series has all of the features and programming flexibility of the Model 3000 flow monitor with the added ability to accept temperature inputs from thermistors or RTDs.

The 310 Series from Badger Meter is a loop-powered, programmable 4-20mA transmitter designed to accept relatively fast, unscaled raw pulses from devices like flow sensors and then transmit a linear analog signal of desired scaling and units of measure. In addition to our standard flow sensors, the Series 310 can also accept a sine wave making it a versatile transmitter for numerous applicatons. The Model 320 from Badger Meter is a compact, programmable pulse transmitter designed to accept relatively fast unscaled raw pulses from devices like flow sensors, and then output slow-scaled pulses of programmable width, pulse resolution and units of measure.
